Review: California Exotics Entice Hope Vibrator

California Exotics Entice Hope Vibrator Egg Review

When browsing for new toys, I usually look for something I don’t yet have, and when I stumbled upon the Entice Hope vibe, I was intrigued with the idea of an egg-style vibe. Frequently my man will want to tease me or full on make me cum while doing so, and an egg with a long, corded remote seemed like the perfect tool to do so.

It’s feminine and colourful, with a hard plastic shell in deep purple, accented with metallic gold, and connected by a 2-foot cord. Some people don’t like the idea of a cord, but I don’t have any objections. What could I possibly be doing where 2 feet of give isn’t enough?
What surprised me is that it’s waterproof, so it didn’t fry when I washed the egg and cord with liberal soap & water. My innocence is still maintained by saving bath time for rubber ducks instead of rubber dildos, so being waterproof isn’t really my first priority.

When I received it, I did what I like to think most people do with a new vibrator – immediately test it on my clit. On the low setting, it was instant, relaxing pleasure. The deep rumble was enough to lie back and savour the immense pleasure; surprisingly powerful, but not so much to make it unbearable. After a few minutes I thought I should explore the other speeds, and moved up to medium. A shriek escaped my lips as I practically dropped the egg to the floor; you don’t expect an egg to pack this sort of punch. The jump from low to medium is pretty big, some might even say a bit frustrating if you have the Goldilocks of vulvas.

Not that it’s comparable to say, a Magic Wand or even the average vibrator, but this toy has a spot in my nightstand simply because it delivers enough power to get me off without plugging in a power tool that will wake up the whole building. The main advantage here is the size and convenient – it holds more power than most other toys its size and can get the job done.

That said, the power doesn’t translate to internal use, at least not for me, but I’ve always been pretty particular there. I popped in the egg hoping for a similar “woo-hoo!” result but, while pleasurable, it was basically reduced to a buzz as I laid in wait for the orgasm that was very late to the party. Much of my collection is for clitoral use, and I relegated this to that category quite happily knowing it would be a faithful go-to for that purpose.

The patterns deserve a special mention because as I was cycling through them, I had the brainwave of “what if there was a toy that had a random mode?” – something that could up the tease factor even more in couple play. Just as I wondered this, I found it. It mixes up the vibrations seemingly every 4 or 5 seconds to keep you on your toes. Not something I’d use on a solo run, but during foreplay it might be a fun addition. Either way, it gets points just for being the first vibrator I’ve stumbled upon that seems to have such a feature.

The only con that might bum you out is that if you accidentally turn it off (which is likely, since I could never remember which button was which), it resets from whichever mode you were on, back to low.
