I’m going to start this off with a quick story that doesn’t really affect my impression of this product, but will drive home what a spectacular moron I am.
As those who follow me on Twitter may know, from time to time, I like to do something that I call #DildosDayOut, where I take sex products on a walk to take photos for upcoming reviews. During a recent trip down to the waterfront with my sex toys, I brought along the Intimate Earth Clitoral Stimulating Gel, and took some pretty photos of the bottle atop an overpass at sunset (romantic, I know), and when I arrived home, the bottle was gone.
Yep, I lost it. So, someone out there in the world had the pleasure of picking up a bottle of clitoral stimulating gel and deciding what the hell to do with that information. Either that or I left it on the overpass and it fell onto someone’s windshield.
Now, onto the review…
I’m not a big stimulation gel type of person. I’ve never been too fussy over those serums & creams that site at the sex shop checkouts, and the few I have allowed myself to try have left me wanting. So why exactly would I want to try yet another one?
Well, because I want to, and because a lot of people get a lot of benefit from these types of stimulation gels. Hell, my majority of testing this product was done in a hurry when my man was in the bathroom and my genitals hadn’t quite caught up with his in terms of arousal. Sometimes, it’s just what you need. It’s like morning sex for me; it’s not that I don’t want it, it’s just that my vulva refuses to match my mind’s horniness.
So… does it work? That’s a complicated question with two answers.
Did it work for me?
No. When I applied it, I felt it for what it was – a cooling gel that simply draws another sensation to this sensitive area. The way I see it, the main point of these gels is to draw some kind of sensation to your clit or vulva; from there, the hope is that your body will see this as kind of an “open” sign and enable the feeling of other stimulation (hand, mouth, toy, etc.) to be heightened, allowing your mind to be more receptive to these sensations. It’s also worth noting that I used the “intense” formulation, and found it to be just the right amount of sensation for me; if you are particularly sensitive, then you may want to try the “gentle” formula.
It’s not like applying this gel will automatically make you out of control horny – it just feels cool, and it will completely depend on how your body interprets this sensation. Which brings me to my second answer…
Will it work for you?
Honestly, it just might. It does do something, it’s just simply not something that MY body is looking for. It doesn’t feel unpleasant by any means, and if your clitoris is open to sensation and you’re looking for product that’s proven to affect your genitals in SOME way, then I do recommend giving this a go. I trust Intimate Earth, since their anal relaxing gel is the tits, and their products are all natural and body safe, so you could do a lot worse.
