A new Tickle Trunk opens its lid
If you knew this site before, welcome back — and thank you for keeping the URL warm. From 2013 to 2018, My Tickle Trunk was the personal review blog of a Toronto writer who called herself Charlotte, and she was good at it: honest scores, body-safe evangelism, and the willingness to say a freebie was a 3/10.
Charlotte stopped writing in 2018 and let the domain go. We acquired it in 2026 — this is her name and her reputation, so let us be plain about what we are: a new team. We never met her, we will not write in her voice, and nothing on this refreshed site pretends otherwise.
What we keep is the standard the name set. Every product we stock gets used, scored and explained in plain language. When a pick disappoints us, the review says so. The shop pays for the site; the reviews do not flatter the shop.
One house rule survives unchanged from the old trunk: body-safe materials only. Non-porous silicone where it counts, honest material notes on every page, and a standing recommendation for water-based lube.
New this era: the trunk ships. Orders leave our facility in plain unmarked boxes, the site runs in English, French and Spanish, and the review bench is exactly as stubborn as it ever was.
